Pros and cons of the phone you're currently using

JR1911

I thought I'd start a topic where you can list some of the pros and cons of the phone you're currently using so it might help others who are planning to buy a new one make their decision. I recently bought a Huawei P9 Lite and here's my thoughts on it so far after a few days of use:

Pros:

  • Battery life
  • Performance in day-to-day use
  • MicroSD slot
  • Fingerprint scanner
  • 3GB of RAM
  • No heating problems that I've encountered
  • WiFi+ automatically turns mobile data on or off depending on if you have access to WiFi
  • Good camera for the price

Cons:

  • UI is a bit clunky and takes some getting used to
  • Has some bloatware that you can't uninstall
  • Only 16GB of internal storage with about 10GB free
  • No fast charge (though it does charge relatively quickly with the included charger)

HTC One M8:

PROS:

  • Audio is beautiful
  • Screen is decent (for when I bought it)
  • Screen size is perfect
  • Button placement is good
  • HTC Boomsound and Blinkfeed
  • 32GB storage is decent (+ expandable storage)
  • Microphone is decent

CONS:

  • Camera sucks. Bad low-light, bad zoom, bad quality, etc.
  • A little bit of bloatware/HTC branding
  • Battery life got significantly worse after a few years (kinda my fault)
  • 2GB RAM (good at the time, not that good now)
  • WiFi/LTE not as good as other phones

I know, but sometimes it has problems registering my finger and it gets dirty easily (although some water helps!)

i should re enter In my fingerprint.

Nexus 6

Pros:

  • Always the newest version of Android (currently 7.0)
  • Big, vibrant screen and front firing speakers make media consumption a joy
  • Easy flashing of ROMs through ADB (looking at you Samsung)
  • Did I mention that it's stock Android? ^^
  • Easy one/two days of battery life for me
  • Fast charge

Cons:

  • Though I love the big screen, I almost find it too big for everyday use and I totally get people saying that "It's just too big"
  • No expandable storage (Though I'm fine with 32GB personally, it'd be nice to have that expandability)
  • Slippery in the hand, due to the polycarbonate back and its rounded shape
  • Definitely always need two hands to really use it
  • The back shows smudges extremely easily
  • Huge in the pocket

I really love this phone, but I'll either be looking at the next Nexus (maybe even 5") or Galaxy phone when the time comes to replace it. 6" is really nice for YouTube, Netflix and stuff but by now I'd actually rather have something that isn't so huge when I'm not just sitting at home consuming media.

The worst thing (from experience with old 5s) is that they leave fingerprints on it. Maybe my fingers were sweaty but still I hate that.

I wash it every week or so with water. :)

Too bad I couldn't afford a S6 or S7 due to higher price I have to pay per month. S5 neo is cheaper..

I loved my finger print scanner. But getting a bigger screen than a 5s was wise

SE = nice small phone.

6/6s plus = perfect media consumption

6/6s = little too small.

So I have the 6s plus..
