Does anyone here actually know what is on the Darknet/shady parts of the internet? Ive heard stories about it but Ive never actually been able to find anything on it. Does anyone here know what kind of shit you will find on the Darknet part of the internet?

Illegal porn, illegal stuff, more illegal stuff, organ sales, secret fileshare websites, etc. Basically any black market you've ever heard of, but digital (in my research experience)

 

EDIT: I actually found a movie hosting .tor searching with a friend of mine. It had complete scripts (that ended up to be about 95% accurate) and some scenes for movies that wouldn't be released for about 5 months.

Everything from drugs to stolen credit card #'s (usually in large batches), guns, hitmen for hire, even child/sex slave trafficking if you're on a really bad site. Pretty much everything you can imagine, and a LOT of drugs. Tons and tons of drugs you've probably never even heard of.

Well , it's very hard , but you can find basically anything on there. I've seen one or two animal abuse forums - basically miles of animals being shot / beaten / thrown in the river / crushed , whatever. It's sick to think that there were thousands of users on one of them , and many as such were closed. You can also find stuff like silkroad ( for drugs ) , websites with hire-a-hitman , black market for guns , etc. Can also , much deeper , find stuff like child pornography , child abuse and whatnot . There are also supposed to be red rooms , where you pay for entrance and get to see something like twitch.tv , just , you decide in the chat what they'll do to a tied up victim. Usually incredible torture , at end being death ( this one , i can't verify , haven't found any , same goes for cp , but the rest I've found many times ). Also , a modified game , "sad satan" , which has a weird artstyle and some weird music , and walking around CP pics will pop-up . Can link you to it in PM , but i advice strongly against it , because 1. child porn , 2. FULL of viruses . 3. did not try it myself.

If all those sites are full of viruses how do people who are (dare i say this) looking for the kind of stuff navigate around?

The game i was talking about is full of viruses. Darknet itself isn't usually very risky virus-wise , but you can get tracked easily on it. Personally , I used TOR ( the best browser for this ) , and a private VPN . You can go ahead and try it , you will find lots of interesting and not risky websites on TOR , but if you want to see CP and other , bad stuff , VPN is necessary to avoid the police knocking on your door. ( That's what they say , but I've gone a few times on the deep web without VPN and nothing happened )

No, you can't get tracked on it "easily".

The only way you can get tracked is if you're dumb enough to leave javascript enabled, which allows them to see right through your proxies. Pretty much how the child porn busts went.

You see , there is much more to that . Even on tor's website , they advice you to use a vpn. Also - last time i checked , javascript is disabled from start on tor.

It really isn't, you need to be given a link to find anything like that, they are prettymuch all invite only through word of mouth. I only know because I had a friend who got caught up in an investigation into that stuff while her PC was connected to a botnet

A way of selling , yes. Communication , no idea. There are plenty of ways to communicate completely anonymously via Tor , but I doubt actual drug dealers use it.

@Profoundsoup Here's sloths quick tips on doing illegal ish without being caught.

STEP 1, hire (or buy) an international VPS,

STEP 2, use it as a VPN,

STEP 3, use Ubuntu instead of windows,

STEP 4, disable java

STEP 5, always run windowed, never full screen.

STEP 6, Always have your audio turned off (disabled) 
STEP 7, make sure your computer uses a blank HDD with nothing on it bar TOR and UBUNTU.
STEP 8, Never use the PC for facebook or anything personal and clear your cookies after EVERY WEBSITE.

There is a difference between telling you " oy , check xxporn.xx " and just giving a wikipedia-like link , which is 1.completely legal 2.the main starting point for anyone that wants to surf the deep web for whatever reason 

Edit : Also , apart from  cp (and probably red rooms if they do exist) , browsing anything from a credit card cloning website to a gore website is not illegal . Imorral , maybe . Illegal , only if you are an active , posting member.
