Anyone have a Staring Problem?

I have an issue where I'll look at someone, and if they look at me, I'll look away immediately.

 

Sometimes I hate eye contact like that. It's awkward to me, but I think it's awkward for the other person as well.

Same to be fair to a certain extent. If I'm glancing across a room and look at someone for half a second and they notice and look back I'll quickly look away. I think most people do that though, what can you do in that situation bar awkwardly look away?

 

As for the OP -  if you really can't help yourself - get yourself a pair of sunglasses.

I like to stare at strangers until they get weirded out. It's a twisted game of who concedes first.

I also tend to avoid eye contact more than I should, even when talking to them. I feel weird looking into their eyes, especially girls...

I always learned its good manners to look at people that talk to you especially in business, if im looking a cross the room and someone looks at me and i notice i keep looking across the room as im not looking at them, if they think i am well. i could careless if i am.... mind games are always sooo much fun!

 

that said i do not directly stare at people... like complete strangers cuz its creepy.

Anyway I have a similar issue where if I sometimes end up tracking  someone (boy or girl)  with my eyes unconsciously and I only realise I'm tacking them (unintentionally) when I get engaged with something (or something else). This obvious ends up with some dipshit friends noticing and yeah, you know the rest :/

You win the game by maintaining eye contact then slowly smiling making it more and more wider the longer you stare.

Try this: whenever you notice someone is staring at you, make eye contact and stare right back at them until they avert their eyes. Some of their reactions are priceless :D

Just smile to ease things down :)

Context is key as well in experience ! 

I used to do that in the bus ride home, and frankly people didn't mind that much as long as I moved on from people to people regularly enough (20 min ride with someone staring isn't easy to handle for most people). I tried to that in the capital city, and people wanted to down right murder me so I stopped.

To sum up, if everything is friendly keep on being crazy.

I do that all the time, if a guy catches my eye I have a tendency to stare, but I look away when they look back. It's really awkward, especially if I have to interact with them later. xD

I've been married 12 years and have let myself go, the only staring I get is at my gut and in disgust!
