It is different for every state. $10 is on the high end as most are $7.25-$10.50. Most are $7.25

The minimum wage is a set bar for every working place. Depending on the work done they have to balance pay with the type of labor. Higher skilled jobs pays more and lesser skilled pay less. Usually outside of teenage jobs they pay more like $11-$15

$7.25 is the at least minimum wage.  A lot of places pay more than that.

For example, North Dakota follows the federal set $7.25, but most, if not all, jobs pay more than $10.50 (in North Dakota)

If the company has less than $500,000 in annual sales, they are exempt from the FLSA (Min wage). You're effectively correct since almost no businesses that hire workers other than the owners, have less than $500,000 in sales, but I thought I should point out the stipulation.

MN minimum wage is currently $9/hr but yeah when i was in north dakota i saw mcdonalds starting at $10/hr and some places $15/hr its crazy

When your local economy can handle it, it's awesome.  Some states/cities can't handle it.

Yeah its like 8 something in Michigan. Federal Minimum wage is like $7.25. But each state can make their own wage as long as its equal or greater than the federal wage.

The problem with Michigan is that they can pay 15 year olds less than $8, which I really dislike (being 15 and all).

Not only that, they control how many hours you can work. I pretty sure its 18 hours a week, at least during the school year.
