Is USB type-c (3.0-3.1) worth it

So would getting a motherboard with USB type c really worth it, it has its uses of course but is it needed or going to be needed in 2-3 years

Yeah I bought the Asus Deluxe V2 which has M.2, U.2, USB type C, thunder bolt, and so on. I have nothing that will use it but in the future I will thank myself when USB type C thumbdrives are the only thing people use because it is 10Gb/s instead of like 250Mb/s

I am the early adopter sort, but if the time comes, especially if you get a solid Mobo and CPU, you can just grab a PCIe to USB 3.1 Type C

All high-end or mid-range decent boards will have USB type C, whether you find it useful or not. Don't want it, then just grab a cheap Sub $60 board like a H110.

I wouldn't look for it as a feature, but I wouldn't turn it down either.

I haven't seen any mice or anything coming out with USB C, just phones. So if you use your PC to charge your phone, it might be handy.
