Best LGA1150 CPU For $350 AUD

So i need a new CPU to replace my Pentium G3258.

Im thinking about the Xeon E3-1231 V3 but i dont know.


Minimum Specs

Speed: 3.0Ghz

Cores/Threads: 4/8

Cache: 8MB

Max Ram: 16GB

PCI Lanes: 16

E3 1231-V3 is a i7 4790 basically. 

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB 

138 is a good number.

Don't know if it necessarily the best but the  Xeon E3-1231 V3   is a good processor and definitely an improvement over your  Pentium G3258

+1 to the xeon, solid cpu considering the price. Holds up to my gaming and editing needs without sweat.

That Xeon is an i7 4790 with a marginally worse turbo clock. Not a bad choice.
