Recommend me a laptop

Could someone recommend me a laptop? I have $2,500-$2,700 to spend, If I get a laptop for $2,500 I will get some accessories for it etc. I want a Light (Under 5 pounds 14-15.6 inches) but powerful laptop. Don't suggest a Razer blade. Must be from Newegg.com as well. And no I am not going to get a desktop. I was thinking about getting this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834725022&ignorebbr=1

I like to kill hardware. In 2016 alone I have killed 20 Xeon 5160, and 10+ Pentium 4.

Why don't you want a Razer Blade? It seems like it would fit what you want quite well

Personally I'd find something with a 1440p or 1080 display. If youre looking to play a lot of lighter titles then I'm sure the 980m could handle to res but I don't think you'll be maxing out anything new or tripleA at 4k with that and turning down the resolution to support it won't look great.

Best best: 1080 or 1440 so you can have higher settings and decent frames

Well, thanks to your own limitations, I'll have to +1 the Aorus also. Otherwise, I'd say go with a custom Sager model, but Newegg req nulls that option.

I can downscale the 4k or I can just run at 1080p.

I suppose that's an option if you're willing to work with that.

Are you for real dude? Where have you been?

It is on the same level as Acer maybe even worse...

The build quality is shitty, they you nice materials, but they put them so badly together that a 4 year old can do it better, build materials does not equal build quality, it thermal throttles like hell so the life spand just went down a LOT, the keyboard is what you should get on a 600$ laptop not 2000$ laptop, their support is utter shit and I really hope that they get fired and never get a job again and they have no quality control at all.

They should stop making laptops

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Would a cooling pad help? What would be the best <1 inch thick <5 pounds laptop around my price range? The EVGA one?

well the EVGA one looks okay from what I can tell, but it is on the loud side of things, the sager NP8658 also seems pretty good.

Why does it have to be from newegg? If not, a macbook pro is the best in terms of power/batterylife/formfactor.

I have a 2019 macbook pro with 64gb of ram and my gaming pc has been in the closet since 2018

With your budget, you can make dreams come true, if it wasn't on newegg LOL. We can all give you better recommendations if it wasn't restricted onto Newegg. If your adamant on Newegg and getting the Aorus, make sure you repaste it and undervolt it with Intel XTU or Thrrotle Stop. Will bring down the heat a bit.

Those all get 9 hours of battery life and are thinner and lighter? I guess I stand corrected.

I suppose they all have dedicated graphics cards, pcie ssds and quad core i7s too.

They can all get 14+ hours of battery life, the x260 you can get up to around 24 hours if you are good. Well I commented on the battery part, but I can just bring up the T460p then, it has a quad core and a dGPU and has over 9 hours of battery. Just so you know it , it is not all MacBook Pro's that has a quad core and a dGPU, so you might want to clarify that you are thinking of those the next time ;)
