Linustechtips website messed up?

www.linustechtips.com

 

Does not come here, but rather it redirects to a strange website.  That's weird it shows up as https://rtu.linustechtips.com/

The correct set is http://linustechtips.com don't add the www.

My PC: CPU: I7-2600K CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Evo, Mother Board: MSI Z77 Mpower, Ram: 4x4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Corsair Vengeance (Black), Case: HAF 932, PSU: CM GX 650 (Upgrading to RM750 soon), SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 120GB SSD, HD:  750GB Seagate 7200 RPM, Optical: Samsung Blu-ray burner, GPU: MSI GTX 560 TI Twin Frozr (Upgrading to an HD R9-290X on launch)

Yes this is strange, it always redirected properly for me tho.

pops up as an untrusted site for me, it's obviously not this one stay away from it.

Nope, www.linustechtips.com is still redirecting to that other site.

www. is not necessary anymore.

I have had no problems but in saying that, I never type http:\\ or www. I just type linustechtips.com. I never understood why people go to the bother of typing the full address out.

 

 

note: I had to use \\ instead of // because it wouldn't let me enter it in the post.

No not really. In the URL for LTT, you can clearly see "www" is missing. If you go to Google by typing in "google.com" into the URL box, it goes to "www.google.com." And videocardz.com doesn't use "www" either.

It works for me with out www.
