We really need to compile a list of the old components that we have working so we could fully plan everything. For me its just the Abit VP6, which I've got a third Pentium III 1000EB for, and a Pentium III 667EB (never tried my Celeron 433 and 500 on the Abit VP6).

 

Edit: I've got a whole bunch of other stuff, but that's the only socket 370 mobo of mine that works, and the only CPU that at least fit the socket.

I'll do that, I put my single socket PIII system into long term storage so not going to be able to get that out but other than that I'll compile a list after I get some better AGP cards. This Geforce3 Ti 200 is not all that bad actually :D

On another note, how about we also after working with 2x CPU installed then remove 1, overclock the crap out of what's installed, and we can compare it to a Pentium M770+Intel 915GML (Pentium III after more die shrinks and steroids).

That sounds fun, I need to mess around with the overclocking more though on this board, I seem to be only able to adjust he multiplier that does nothing :L

Oh my.... well once it is all setup you will be happy I assume, only thing I don't like on those boards is the little fan to cool the chipset, I worry those are loud and if they die your screwed over if you can't find a replacement I would think.

i have a few locked chips for sale. an i3 3220 and i5 2400.

I might take you up on those, seeing that one of the boards is going into my main I want to stay away from bclk and just get a K chip or stick with a xeon. Don't know what I want to do but Xeon looks like my best bet and even then I have a board left over to do whatever with :D

get a 2600 or 2700k. cheaper and better in most cases.

2700K are generally better binned than the 2600K. e.g 980X and 990X.
