The cache ratio is the cache multipler-so it was running at 4.4GHz:

watch the nb frequency in the memory tab when you run the test. it should hit 4400 if you are correct.

 

all the screenies you posted show it at 40x

 

your score is also very low for 4.8

And yes Jumpers first 3930k was a pig. It's not stable 24/7 4.7ghz/1.4v :/

I'm about to re-install Windows 7 to see if that fixes anything. That and go back to my Sabertooth despite its audio issues.

Yea it's a yucky cpu but at least it's better than that joke of a 4930k i used 

 

im doing 4.5 @ 1.2v atm because of f@h

 

5ghz passes xtu 1 hr @ 1.4v :)

I know its low, and the NB frequency isn't the cache frequency-the cache relies on the FSB x the ratio, not the NB x the ratio (and the NB frequency is only the FSB x 40).

go look @ the nehalem architectural block diagram cause fsb disappeared some time ago :)

 

the memory controller moved to the cpu, then the northbridge did, we go quick path interconnect and now it's just in 1 package known as uncore or cache frequency.

 

 

when you gonna get cold?

It still holds true though-you have the FSB at 100MHz, and everything is based off that.

RV790... 1ghz should be a thing at a push :)

 

And dabob the northbridge frequency is literally what we call uncore, ring or the cache now

Look @ the pink ring

 

the blck is just a standard system clock that the cpu goes off (system agent) (and the cpu also uses this clock for its pcie interface and memory interface, hence why increasing blck changes your memory dividers).

 

 

the fsb design is very old, even amds ht3.1 is way better.
