If Zen doesn't fix this glaring performance deficiency then AMD's cpu department is dead to me.

I know the feeling, my Xeon X5450 was slow as well-84CB at its stock clock.

I bet if you tried to get that exact result again by the time you finish Linus will be finished moving to the new office.

STOP using prime95 with Haswell CPUs!

I went to the shop while my P4 was running stock benchmarks. Yuck.

Well yeah, I've got 1 mobo with 4 out of its 8 phases dead (its a 4+2 phase design-I still don't know why its working after the amount of damage), and one that I totally fried.

So yes I probably will finish by then. That is if I don't say screw it, sell all of my LGA775 CPUs and DDR2 RAM, and just use my LMC for overclocking fun.

Poor bastards, flogged by a laptop with an iGPU instead of a dGPU. (Proper results to follow when I can bench all at once with a better GPU):
post-155575-0-68789400-1425460623_thumb.

Jumper settings (also a good way to tell beforehand whether you got screwed or not with the CPU-100MHz FSB on some Pentium instead of 133MHz):
post-155575-0-62674000-1425460713_thumb.

Also, the 90's called and they want my PC back.

are all the cpu speeds from cpuz and also can you post screen shots of the gpuz for both GPU's.  can you also tell me which socket or slot they as well, as i am not as good with my 90's hardware. :)

both my new cpu's work, but i won't be overclocking them till i have finished with these E5200s!

I'll finish it off as today, with tomorrow being the latest I'll be getting my dual socket mobo. And each CPU will have its photo, stock and max overclock screen shots. And overclocking is easy btw with my current multi socket board (multi socket = has 2 different sockets but can't use 2 cpus), it just won't post if the OC doesn't work.

Edit: BTW, those results are only the teaser-they should actually get better with my new dGPU (my current set up only just manages to play halo 1, and benches lower than an 910GML with slightly lower on paper specs)

Lol, it only beat the Celeron M in my laptop by .06 points, and its at 1.59GHz. I really need to write a custom bios for it, having the unlocked FSB will be awesome if I can actually tweak it myself.

Good luck, that's pretty much what I got with my P5Q. Its supposed to be 8 phase but its only got 4 as the other 4 caught fire with the last owner (I've confirmed-there was an actual small fire on it-and it still managed to run Windows).

Its 2 Pentium 3's running off PC133 RAM and at the limits of my VS650's 12 volt rail, I can't make miracles. As it is running the FSB at 150MHz is causing stability issues with the RAM.

Also, you mustn't have had much experience at all with CPUs from around 2000 and previous.

actually I loved getting back into pc building. my previous efforts were 486 systems, and ide hard drives. not having to worry about hardware configs, system conflicts, and that first 256kb of memory was a freeking godsend. .pif files are your friend...
