Engineer sample off of Ebay. Depending on you moral stance but it is a viable option

System Spec: H87 mobo from Zotac, I3 4130, 4GB ddr3 1600mhz Cas 11, WD green 2TB all in side of a Cooler Mater Elite 120

It is a 1.6Ghz hex core without hyperthreading, you would be better off with an i5 at that price, and it will not have a good resell value as the specs on the chip are pretty awful, and gaming isn't going to be feasible at all of that chip.

I dont care about the whole engineering sample thing, to be honest, but the possibility of getting scammed is too high

or I could go really sketch and buy an ES cpu off ebay... Nah too risky

SO then, X99 and cheap don't go very well together

actually in multi core enviroments that cpu performs on par with the 6600k some times. Plus I could still use my other rig for gaming.

no, z170 would be more sensible, but high end pc stuff is hardly ever about being sensible

If you want the possibility of gaming with it later or just keeping it, I would highly highly recommend the 5820k.

It is truly a phenomenal CPU.

Yes. It is getting easier to justify an extra $140 which is scary

I gave you a cheaper option with decent performance though, mine has the same gaming capability as my 4790k @ 4.5 GHz the frames differ from game to game the E 2630 beats the 4790k in some while the 4790k wins in others. it's awesome for $156
