Depends im not from England so i don't know anything about that store. If the store is a good store, it's probably right and if it does turn out to be a bad cable, they should let you return it.

For a length of 10 metres you should be fine unless you're trying to push 10Gb over it then it needs to fully conform to CAT 6 spec or better. At lengths that short CAT 5e and even CAT 5 can do gigabit.

Most cables labled CAT 6 do not actually meet all the requirements to be CAT 6 certified(I've seen short cheap cables labled CAT 6 but actually were CAT 5e), but this often doesn't matter as most of the time it's only used in 1Gb applications and anyone doing 10Gb should use CAT 7 to be safe.
