If any of you are aquatinted with the EVGA Hadron Air, you'll know that it has "great" blue usb cables. Since I really can't dig that in a black and red themed build, I decided to paint them. Any suggestions how I should go about doing that? I brought some spray paint and tried it on a sacrificial usb cable from another hadron. It says it will bond to plastic but it's been about a day and still feels tacky.

well if you're using just regular spray paint it will crack and come off when you bend the cable

It takes up to a week for spray paint to cure and harden but as said spray paint is not ideal as it will inevitably flake off, you would be better off with something like plasti-dip as it's a flexible rubber coating or to sleeve the cables.

Everytime I've spray painted rubber or gotten some spraypaint on a cable it's turned out badly. The paint will stay tacky or will come off when the cable is bent. Maybe use some black heat shrink tubing or liquid electrical tape/plasti-dip to cover the cable.

Maybe you will be fine with paint for lexan. It's designed to bend and i haven't got any issues with it being tacky.

It's used to paint lexan rc bodies and i had good experience with it.

Might be expensive tho and not work out great, but it seems like an option.
