mouse lifespwan

My pc was prebuild but I adapted it by changing it's hardware to make it more powerful, only thing i didn't change is the mouse that came with it. So it's about 6 years old now and it's randomly disconnected from the system, while gaming  i hear the windows hardware disconnected sound quickly in a row. while not gaming less frequent How long can a factory mouse last?

a mouse gets as old as it does. I have a perfectly working mouse (which I used up until last December and am thinking of switching back to) which at this point is 13-14 years old. The only problem is that the mouse wheel is kinda weird, but it doesn't make it unusable. I have heard stories of people's mice only lasting a year too.

I loved my Steelseries Sensei, I used it for 4 years plus.

Until last month I get electrified , at least a little bit, when I touched the bottom of the mouse....

It happened to me before when I was using Lenovo laptop, I dun know why I keep getting electrified. 

So now I use the sensei as a back up mouse, and bought a G502. 

A good mouse can last a very long period of time.

 

I am Still having a mouse in my drawer, that mouse was a Dell mouse that came with the prebuilt Dell computer I bought at 2005. 

It is still working. Without an issue.

I also owned a Razer Deathadder.

Within half a year, the left button started getting double clicking syndrome....

6 years is very good but if it's malfunctioning you owe it to yourself to get a new one .

14 years? Wow. I have an old Emachines ball mouse that came with my 420 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) which still works. Cleaned the ball out recently too, but it's so slow.

i've been using my RAT7 gaming mouse for 3 years now, lets see how long it will last me....

I wouldn't doubt one of those still works, I have just not tried my ball mice in the recent history
