So if i dont buy a opperating system will it still have windows 10?

Windows 10 is the operating system.  If you have Windows 10 you have an operating system - the Windows 10 operating system.  If you don't have Windows 10, you could always install Windows 7, or Linux, or some other operating system.

I'm not sure I understand you... it sounds like you're asking "Can I remove the Atlantic from the Ocean and still have water"

Your PC build is really unnecessary. I think you should ask someone to help you build a PC that is more on a budget, and for $2,000, I think you can do a lot better than that.

How? Why?

That's an Ethernet cable for internet access.  If you are wired in, there's no need for any additional network cards since your motherboard will come with a LAN connection, and possibly even WiFi (but the latter is not a given)

Windows 10 is an operating system. Without an OS, there would be only your bios. Another example of an OS is osx, linux, windows 7 etc. An OS is pretty much the user interface when using a device. Now as for your build it has some problems. For one, you have 2 network adapters. 2, your hdd is only at 5400 rpm and 3 tb is kind of overkill. 3, your psu is kinda overkill as well. For 1700 you could do A LOT better.

What does overkill mean?

Something that is really powerful but you don't need the extra power for. For example something overkill is getting a 1080 for just playing minecraft. You're getting so much more power than what you really need.

The (possibly old time) saying that was sort of equivalent was "using a sledgehammer to crack a nut"

Two motoes to live by   "Sometimes there are no shortcuts"

                                           "This too shall pass"

4) A better CPU cooler. Since you wanted the "K" version, you are probably looking to OC.

I came to understand you can have a decent overclock with the first cooler he proposed.

Like he won't go up to 4.6, but to get something like 4.2-4.3GHz it should be pretty fine while staying under 75 degrees Celsius, right?

I am comparing the whole build. Mine is cheaper with a pretty much better everything.

Yeah of course :)

It's just that I'm making my first build with a mid range cooler expecting to overclock to 4.2-4.4GHz, and you made me reconsider my choices :)
