American Truck Simulator, 15fps on low, 6 on ultra

Before I used to get 60fps+ on ultra on this game. Now for some odd reason, on ultra, on the same settings, I get 6fps. Lowest is 20fps MAX. Tried optimising the game in GeForce Experience; Reinstalled game and reset settings. No change.

Specs:
AMD FX8350

MSI GTX 960 4G

8GB HyperX Fury RAM 1866

Have you done anything to your system? Is your gpu or cpu hitting the thermal limit? Are you having any other problems? You are not giving enough details.

Have you tried updating the the latest drivers? Or if you just updated try going back to the previous version you were on.

This is a software issue for sure.  Drivers, driver, driver, drivers.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

Should I get my drivers from the MSI website or GeForce experience? From the MSI website the driver version is 355.82 and from GeForce Experience it's 368.39.
Currently I have the latest driver from GeForce Experience (368.39).

Here are some screenshots of GPUZ and CPUZ while the game is running on ultra. Yeah I did notice the 100% GPU usage :D Have no idea what is going on.

Also there is a screenshot of my GeForce Experience drivers.

I'm pretty sure the AMD FX8350 hasn't got intergrated graphics. I also made sure in the nvidia control panel that it was using my GPU.

I had a vsync issue that has now been fixed. CPU and GPU not hitting thermal limit, but in one of my replies you will see that GPUZ shows 99% GPU load when running the game on ultra.

Have you tried using DDU and then installing an older driver?

Kind of. When I was told to use DUU to fix my vsync issue about a week ago it restarted my system and then got me stuck just before I logon to Windows. Had to use the 'repair my computer' tool in the windows installer.

I'm pretty sure yes.

If you do not use ddu in safemode, it can delete important parts of the registry and cause it not to boot. DDU has never made me have to repair my windows. Try using DDU then reboot. Then install the latest driver.

Just tried again and made sure that it rebooted my PC into safe mode, and the same thing happend. After it did its thing in safe mode, it rebooted back just before the Windows login screen and was stuck on a red screen (red because that's my personalization colour).

Had to use the windows installed 'Repair my Computer' tool to restore my PC back to the recovery point DUU made just before it rebooted to safe mode.

Is there anything else I can use to remove nvidia drivers?

I would do a clean install of windows. Ddu is the best way to remove display drivers.

I just tried Euro Truck Simulator 2 and the fps is slightly higher on both ultra and low. About 20-30fps- still not playable for me. Every other game I get 60fps+. Even GTA V at mostly high settings I get 50fps.
