What has made you say "Holy SH!T" IRL or Inside (Related to PCs)

What has made you either say "HOLY SH!T" (Or some other phrase when you are scared or have messed up) when something major has gone wrong during a PC Build or anything else related to PCs? A few minutes ago, I was reinstalling my GTX 760 after cleaning it, and a HUGE yellowish spark flew from the card directly to my case, and I thought for sure the whole system was dead. But, somehow, it isn't! Anyways, thanks. :)

I remember that I somehow made it to where my $300 motherboard wouldn't turn on. I was terrified, then I though about resetting the BIOS using a jumper as the CMOS battery wouldn't do anything. That was one of the most terrifying days with this build.

I was testing out a new build before I put it in the case and after at least 10 minutes of sitting in the bios I realized the PSU fan was facing downwards onto my table. I shit myself when I realized.

Least I didnt set my house of fire or some shit lmao

Oh, and another time I realized my GPU was idling at 67 degrees Celsius. Glad I saw that before trying to game.

Speaking about questionable PC's, once I moved into UAH, I checked out craigslist and saw a PC more terrifying than my own.

Another time actually, I was repairing a computer and when I opened the case up its was absolutely caked in dust. I took a measuring cup, swept out all the dust and packed it down in the cup. it reached the 1 1/2 cup line.

The first time I played Bioshock Infinite on my newly built (at the time) gtx970 equipped PC after I had only ever played it on my Xbox 360. Also when I saw how cool the gigabyte cards looked in the flesh. I never knew that something you put inside a closed metal box could look so good.

If I can broaden this to just general use of that phrase instead of only panicked moments, I'd say when I just picked up my new xbox one controller for the first time :D OMG! Makes the 360 one feel like a toy!

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I'm pretty sure unless the fan was not able to get any possible air, it wouldn't have caused a problem.

I've seen worse. I was fixing an old beige 90's pc, and I was able to take a ruler, and everything was covered in literally 1 inch of dust.
