Should i buy it? Its a lot less that all the others.

The style of cooler works better in small cases but it can't be Overclocked particularly well.

I need it to be good in an s340. I also need it to be either black and white or black and silver.

Doesnt cool as well as others and is a louder, one site had it at 10db louder which is twice the perceivable volume
Hits stock thermal limit (82C) but tops out around 87C with stock fan profile irrc, will be lower on 1070

If you do not want to wait, sure. If you are getting a 1080 no, do not get it.

If you really cannot possibly wait any longer, you can go for it. If you have the ability to wait for the aftermarket coolers for the 1080, I would do that. If you are watercooling the 1080, you can go for it. If you want to OC it and don't want to put a watercooler on it: don't do it.

 

There are many variables in choosing if you want to get one or not.

Not sure which card you're looking at. In case of 1080, it's louder and card gets loud and thermal throttles in demanding games. It's most likely the same with 1070.

How much is "a lot less"? From what I've seen so far, they're about the same or not much less than custom coolers, and the latter are worth paying extra to get a card with better cooler. Personally, I've decided for MSI 1070 gaming x.

I will get what ever one i buy within a week so that is out of the equation. I just need it to be black and white or black and silver.

- equally bad as past reference coolers

- it doesnt overheat, its just a cooler thats either hot, or loud. "overheating" would mean the card needs to throttle below its advertised clock, which it doesnt need to.

tbh, i dont see the purpose of a blower style card outside of cases with very limited airflow, where the card HAS to provide for itself.

I was under the impression that you wanted to get the card this month . To be fair I do not know if scan will have enough stock for people to buy without waiting tomorrow but we will see.

1) a bit loud for its performance

2) not bad, you just need to either increase the fan speed to 80% or increase the temp limit to 87C and then it will boost up to its max just fine

3) it does not overheat

4) its not supposed to be less, aftermarket cards are like $50 below the founders

but if its cheaper where you live then sure, get it as long as you're fine with the noise

Where are you looking at the prices? What is the price for one and the other?

I wouldn't say that's worth it, you won't be able to get as much power out of it and it's going to be loud AF.

In that case, just grab the Zotac AMP / MSI Armor OC, they are cheaper and £4 more expensive respectively than FE anyway.
