the answer is Neither. You cannot fairly compare Apples and Robots, it is a fact. They both have their use case and their happy users.

I  predict that Android is going to win the poll, this would only means that it is more popular on this forum. Not that it is better than IOS for everyone. I encourage you to inform people of my message and to try to be objective, thank you

These posts never go right. It turns into a fight of egos and fanboyism.

All OS's are great. They all have room for improvement. They all have amazing perks. They all fit to the people that use them.

I prefer Android, offers a sense of freedom and personalisation that iOS will never be able to give me. I'm not an Android fanboy or anything, before my current phone (HTC Evo 3D) I had a 16gb iPhone 3GS, great phone and I loved it to pieces, but I don't know really, switching to Android sort of felt way more free and open.

Again, these things are opinion based.

I don't like Mac's or basically any apple product but i think there iPod classic are amazing for how small they are, there is no competition and also i like iPhone's, i find IOS to be more neater and tidy compared to android even though android has better features.

I had a samsung galaxy s 2 and switched to and iPhone 5 at Christmas last year , I don't mind android and I think its a very good OS , however I prefer the fluency of iOS and I feel everything is more interconnected and is more crisp. Also as all my friends have iPhones FaceTime and iMessage work a treat . But both are amazing

I love my Windows Phone, I tried Android and iOS, but I couldn't get used to it, just felt sluggish to me. I know the app marketplace is very very small compared to the others, however, it has all the applications I use, so I can't complain, fast and responsive.

My personal preference is on Android. Reasons are I prefer the way the UI works. It fits the way I want to use my phone more. I love being able to customize and install new roms. The phone communicates well with my email provider, chrome and my pc.

Next best OS would be Windows. It's slowly getting to be a stronger OS. It's a quick OS. The tiles are an interesting way to display data.

Last of all is iOS. It just lacks the features that I personally want. The phones are just way to small. I also find the "fanboys" of iOS to be some of the most toxic people.

I had an iPhone. It was nice. After some time of getting used to iOS I had to jailbreak it. The lack of Apple's feature implementation was unbearable. Then i switched to android. I miss the tuning and tweaking. But at the same time I'm happy that i have the features without even having to tweak and mod.

who cares...

I love iOS more than Android, but I currently use Android.

To me, iOS is more simple and I can get updates faster. I use an iPad for all my school work and my Mac for my actual work, so it's weird not having an iPhone. I had the S1 and I don't think it'll ever get past Android 2.3. Because of carrier requirements. iOS doesn't have to do this. This makes bug fixes nigh on impossible sometimes, especially in America. It's why the new phones rarely get Android updates. It's why old phones don't either.

Plus syncing an Android device while having an iOS device is a pain.

I personally feel like the next big thing in Android is for Google to have a computer app such as iTunes but Google's version. Centralized location for music, apps, and other media. Easily transferable. Yes, yes. I know you can drag and drop. But it's easier to have it in an app that you can listen to or watch while on the PC without fumbling through folders. Then easily syncing them together.

Though the Android and iOS both have their fanboys. And they're both annoying.

I went from Samsung Galaxy S1 > iPhone 4S > iPhone 5 > Samsung Galaxy S4. I'm going back to iPhone 5S and will probably keep it this time until the 6S.

Another thing, I feel like iOS apps have a greater optimization compared to Android apps. You have a quad core phone because it's top of the line. But most users aren't high end phone users. They'll have a dual core maybe. Not many apps use quad core. It's why the iPhone 5S went for dual core again. Same with screen size. Some look weird on higher screen sizes. Some crash constantly on Android. I remember Netflix used to only work on certain phones back in 2.2/2.3.

I currently use Windows Phone, hate the lack of apps and I have gone off the tiles.

Not really used Android much, only occasionally on my Brother's phones and Nexus 7, there's a few things I don't like about it, but I like a lot too.

iOS is a winner for me, looking forward to getting a 5s in the next couple weeks and I just love how easy iOS is to use.

You've not added Blackberry, so I'm not even going to go into that.

One of the things I dislike about Android is the Playstore, the amount of terrible apps that make it on there is just unbelievable.

Just my opinion.

Subjective question. I biggest issue I have with iOS is syncing. I don't want to sync. You don't force me to sync.

Android because of how customizable it is. But if you want a cheap phone with a smooth OS, Windows Phone 8 would be my choice.

noting is better than the other. i myself prefer android.

some prefer iOS, and some WP

there is nothing wrong with having a favorite platform. what is wrong is that having the idea that what use like is the best and every thing else need to go to hell.

every one can have an opinion and they are entitle to it.

Personally prefer Android for its open-source nature and its customizability.

It's also an easier and cheaper platform for developers ($25 one time fee vs. Apple's $99/year).

For me I've gotten tired of the hoops I need to jump through if I want to adjust just one thing in ios. But the main thing that has me still using it [besides not having an android device] is that the App Store has more updated versions of some rhythm games I play, at least from the research I've done. For me these are jubeat and reflec beat, although these are Japanese arcade games so that might have something to do with it.

Tl:dr I prefer android for freedom, but ios has my rhythm games ;w;
