Is Overwatch good?

So I am looking to buy Overwatch and want to know if it's good and worth the 60 dollars, thanks.

A game being "good" is very subjective to the person playing it. Personally I find it to be a lot of fun.

I've been playing since closed beta last year. If you like FPS games and want something fast paced yet fun I would grab it. It plays similar to TF2 but with some notable changes.

If you don't care about any of the extra stuff you get from the Origins Edition (I believe it's just skins but not 100% sure) get the Standard Edition.

For now I consider it to be a game that I just mess around in when im bored or need laughs. With Team Fortress 2  there was no competitive mode or 6v6 mode there was less pressure to work as a team. Most of the games are 32 players and casual pubs. While casual matchmaking in overwatch does seem casual with 6v6 its very frustrating when your teammates don't get roles maybe they should. The most frustrating part is sometimes (not all the time) nobody wants to play a tank.

It's only 40 bucks for the game here in the US. The 60 dollar version just includes some skins and stuff. It's totally worth the 40 bucks, idk why people are so stingy nowadays.

What $39.99? It's $19.99 from that link for the standard edition...

 

It also hits $14.99 at least once a month and is guaranteed to hit $14.99 here soon during the Christmas sales.

 

Regardless, it's worth $20.00 to $25.00 for the standard edition if you plan to heavily play it. If not, it's worth $10.00 to $15.00 to obtain it and casually invest some time into it. You could always just get Paladins for free either way. I personally prefer Paladins and it's pretty much the same experience.

 

Both games are very well optimized.

Three years and a thousand in-game hours later, and I regret to inform everyone - it is absolutely not worth it.

Did you ever play Team Fortress 1 or 2 back in the day? If so, you'll enjoy Overwatch. Also, not sure where you're getting the $60 version from, as there's only a regular $20 USD version, and a Legendary $40 version that comes with a bunch of non-functional but pretty looking cosmetics in the way of skins.

 

Wait for a holiday sale and you can proly pickup the regular $20 USD version for $15 USD or so.
