Which gtx 970 gpu should i get?

I have been investigating a bunch og 970 gpus. Different brands, types, etc... And because of all the options that are out there, I have become confused with which should I get. I would really apreciate if you guys could help me out.

 

My main objective is hardcore gaming, I want to get the absolute best of gaming with a gtx 970.

 

P.S: I have investigated a lot og EVGA types such as FTW, SSC, etc... and tehy seem alright.

any reason you don't want a 1070?

wait untill the RX 480 hitts the market, its going to probably be way better placed money then a 970

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Either way you need to wait. Right now is pretty much the absolute worst time to but a 900 series card. Either save more money and get a 1070 for a huge performance bump, or wait for the RX480 to get a marginally better card for way cheaper.

I really dont have the money for something more expensive than a 970 :/ at most I could get a 980.

It'd be stupid to get a GTX 970 now. Wait for the RX 480.

the RX 480 will be between $200 and 300 how is that more expensive than a 970? the 1070 should be close to the 970s price range as well. just wait a few more weeks, seriously otherwise you will be hating on yourself.

no problem, I had a friend almost make the same mistake only a month ago, luckily I knew the cards were coming out as he has a 960 atm and just wanted to upgrade from there.
