What I did

- Made my own plexi side panel from scratch. I think it turned out really good.
- Mounted a 1080 rad to the right side panel. This is also on a electronic actuator so it can swing out. You really need to watch this video here to see how it works: http://youtu.be/ZQzDUEPoDMA?t=11m21s
- Did all the random paint jobs my case.
- Added and cut all internal white plexi myself.
- Added a custom SSD mount plate with blue led behind.
- All custom watercooling
- Painted the 2 CPU blocks to patch theme
- Added some lighting effects that work well with the clear side panel, watch this video to see, looks really cool at night. All the edges of the side panel light up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=K0CeYEdb2R8

What are those fans on the right in the last picture?

That's my external 1080 rad mount on a electronic actuator that I can move in and out, check out this video

You should stop by the storage show-off topic. Since you're running it

all off of one M/B you'd qualify for the new No. 1 spot methinks. ;)

Also, the storage fetishist inside me just had a seizure from looking

at your vids. :D

EDIT:

Love the actuator btw., I've been looking for an excuse to use one for

years, but haven't had a project for one yet.

Oh don't get me started on storage, I have many mates with over 150TB, one of them has it all in one Lian Li PC-D8000

We also prefer having all connected via one motherboard, external sas and sas expanders is way better than iSCSI or SMB shares

Well, it appears you are a member of a storage cult! :D

I'll definitely have to wait a while until I can join one as well, as a college

student it's a tad too expensive now that I've spent most of my money on my

personal rig (ah well, one has to prioritize, can't have everything).

I still have a Lian Li PC-343B laying around here (disassembled though), but I doubt

I'd pack it full of hardware, it's just too flimsy (rather thin alu, sadly). I've

been thinking about getting another Caselabs and getting a new server going when I

get some money together (just add HDDs as money allows, not everything at once), but

that's definitely not in my immediate future, rather mid to long term.

Few things have probably given me as much trouble in my computer lifetime as SMB

has (well, Samba, to be precise, mixed O/S home network). Nowadays I just mount my

different machines' storage together via SSHFS. Linux to Linux mounting works

beautifully, and even mounting my Linux machine on my dad's Windows setup works,

if not completely bug-free, then at least a lot better than SMB ever has. It's

certainly not as fast as your setup, but for backing up my dad's business files,

my own files and streaming media from machine to machine it's easily enough.

I'm all about speed tho, If I can't get something blazzing fast then I'm not happy

I upload at local LANs at about 1TB every 30min, I run a 200-300 person LAN event and there is nearly 1 Petabyte of data in the hub. All my network gear is 10 Gigabit copper and fiber.

Yeah I'd want speed in that situation, too. Lots of it. :D

For my personal needs I just can't justify the cost at the moment, but

there's always the future. ;)

Putting the Rads, Storage and the monitors aside; things that can be had with just money !

I love builds that has something priceless, something that can't be bought rather has to be earned...

That attention to detail and the sheer creativity gone into this build, is down right impressive   5 Stars !
