Best super quiet but cheap CPU cooler.

felixbossuyt

Hi,

I'm looking for a very quiet CPU fan for my ThermalTake Core V1 and i3-6100 build.

I really want it to be quiet because it's in my bedroom and it's always on.

I'm not into liquid cooling because that's way out of my budget and experience/knowledge range.

I've seen some fans from Noctua but they're just to expensive and I really don't want to drop that much cash on such a boring thing.

In the future, I'm also wangting to upgrade the 200MM front fan and the 2 80 MM rear fans.

Thanks very much for the response !

Get the Arctic Freezer 13 CO or the Cooler Master Hyper 212X. Both are around the same price on Amazon UK. The Freezer 13 has a bigger heatsink for future upgrades and overclocking and better temps.

Shadow Rock 2 isnt that expensive and i cant hear mine :) keeps the CPU nice and chilly too

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Ok, I think I'm going to go for the shadow rock then. Does it fit in a Mini-ITX case ?

the Noctua NH-L12 is very silent, fits in your case and will be enough for anything but an overclocked 6700k

Zalman CNPS7000v(AL) is a good one. I use it on an i3-4150. Almost silent at low RPM (SpeedFan ftw) and only $10.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.
