Is that a CBR? Need more details on the bike, sir.

I don't currently have one but I'm looking to have a bike by next spring or so. Kind of feeling something like a V-Strom though so I can take it comfortably down dirt roads and the like.

yes it is a CBR a 300 to be exact only mods done is an Akrapovic exhaust it's a great little bike my only complaint is that i like a very aggressive riding position and this isn't quite right for me but that's just a different set of clip-ons

Well that's interesting, I didn't even know there was a 300R. Cool beans, what kind of fuel economy do you have and have you had larger bikes in the past or is this your first?

Here's an old pic of my 04 SV650 Naked

SAM_0183.jpg

I really need to get an updated pic, I've since done a Titanium M4 full exhaust, GSXR front end swap, 180 rear wheel, ditched the rear seat and put a lot of miles on it, but you can see the beginnings of where I went with it in the giant fabricated radiator. :P

I've done CRA track days a few times a year with it for the last 5 years or so.

Unfortunately bikeless currently but looking into purchasing a VTR1000.

Ridden a heap of liter bikes in the past but never a v-twin thousand. Good for lane splitting because they are very thin and due to the engine being the stressed member the center of gravity is very low so the bike will feel very light!

Scrapyard Build Total Cost: $268AUD

Huh, I wish I discovered this sooner :(

I don't have a bike yet, but I am looking to start riding next year when I'm 17 (in the UK, this allows me to ride a 125cc machine), since the economics and experience make sense (car insurance, road tax, etc is a bit high for my liking but overall, fairly inexpensive for  a bike, as well as the fact that I personally love tearing stuff apart, so I may be able to save a bit of money on repairs...)

In the meantime, I occasionally pop to my local Speedway when they're racing and take photos to improve my photography skills, since I did do GCSE photography and I may look to do it freelance soon (interested as to how I will securely transport my gear on a bike- if I crash [and let's face it, where I live, there are a whole ton of bad drivers], lenses and expensive gear everywhere. I don't even have insurance on 2 things yet).

I was looking at the CBF125 or the CBR125R, depending on what's for sale next year. I do, however, know a few people who ride (one of my neighbours, a few family members and an IT technician at my school is getting back into biking hopefully- when he's repaired his bike), so I suppose I could always get some practise in before my CBT next year (and maybe my license soon after, especially for when I go to uni).
