The ability to add tables

This seems simple enough and would be amazing for meta threads so why are they not implemented.

i'd guess because the forum software they're using doesnt have support for it in the same way as it supports quotes, images, or code tags.

 

+1'ing this one if its possible to implement without becoming a code black hole tho.

you can always copy a table online and paste it in and fill it out after you paste it, the way the forum keeps the format you copied it in allows that,  like this:

i'd mostly be thinking about having an in-forum editor. thats something thats even still lacking in MS word.

The functionality of tables in MS word may be simple but even that is beyond what would be needed here

you clearly havent edited a table in word yet

(or unless they got better at it after i stopped paying for MS office)

It has never been that bad.. unless of course you need functions.

There is a table plugin available for the editor, so, assuming it works correctly, it would be to difficult to add to the site. However, tables can easily break formatting on mobile, and add a horizontal scroll bar, if the table is too wide. It is something that we will consider in the future though.

That's why we have the beta site isn't it
