Would a GTX 960 4GB or 970 4GB still be worth buying ? or is it going to be pretty much a waste of cash since the pascal cards are coming out

I'd wait and snipe one off of eBay right after Pascal comes out. People will be freaking the fuck out and start quickselling their cards for like $200.

Fry's Electronics has a GTX 970 for $250 this week with a promo code. If that trend continues, there's absolutely no reason to even consider the 960, 380 or 380X going forward. Is it worth snapping up a 970 at that price? If you're not going to turn around and upgrade to a 1070/1080 over the summer, yeah, I'd go for a 970 in a heartbeat with prices coming down like they are.

well.. it'd be like buying a 770 new back when 970 launched i guess...

give it a few more weeks for the board partners to roll out, and see then.

there is a lot of cheap ones already, i was lookng yesterday for 970's they are around 200-250 mostly
