How many people who aren't super impressed, have you called AMD fanboy so far in this thread? The only one who comes off as a fanboy is you lawlz. And I hate that term, it's completely useless.

 

There is hardly any architectural benefits from this card compared to Maxwell, besides some VR things, that has to be implemented directly in games anyways. Considering this is a double node shrink, and not even the GP100 chip, seeing this card at this performance at this price (Swedish Krona SEK 7699) is not impressive.

Hard performance, sure it's ok, but ~30% increase from a double node is not amazing. The price certainly is not.

How did they managed to get only 67°C on GPU core at that event, when we can see from various benchmarks that temps goes up to mid 80°C.

They kept the fan going at 100%. Which if you're ever listened to a blower card going 100, you'll know that is almost as loud as the convention sound that was masking it during the event.

They had the fan at 100%. I hate reference cards. Only good for SFF builds or cases with horrible airflow. Or if you want to watercool.

So far? 2 people. Both of which were not just "super impressed", but also failed basic reading comprehensions and math and instead jumped and attacked Nvidia based on complete misinformation.

If it was just people not being "super impressed" then I would not have any problem with them.

Maybe you missed it in the other thread but I have already said I think the price is too high and I won't be getting it (will probably get a Polaris 10 card).

The price makes sense when you do the math. Nvidia known what the card performs likes and charges according to that. Sucks for us consumers that we don't get a huge leap in price:performance, but that's what happens when there isn't any competition.

As for the Swedish price, Nvidia re just fucking us over. The prices are far more reasonable in the US.

 

 

It's not "amazing", but it is a good card nonetheless.

Also, you should not think of it as a "double node jump" since the jump isn't that much bigger than a regular "single jump". For example 25nm to 28nm was 38% smaller. 28nm to 16nm is 43%. So it's more like "1.2 node jumps" rather than two.

Once you realize this the results makes more sense.
