RAID modes question.

I want to buy a new SSD (512gb Samsung Evo) for my pc but I already have the 120gb SSD. Can I run them in RAID? I know almost nothing about RAID so I decided to ask.

Main PC:

CPU: Intel Core i9 13900KS SP 116 (124P-102E) (6.1Ghz P-Cores 4.8Ghz E-cores) MC SP 88

CPU Voltage: LLC8 1.525V (real voltage 1.425V + - Temps 85-90 P-Cores, 70-73 E-cores)

basicly, they will work, but, 

since they are of different storage sizes, and they are different drives, and read/wrie, and timings and whatnot, you will have a high chance of corrupted data.

You "COULD" put them in Raid together. HOWEVER, only the smallest of the two will decide the capacity. 

 

Hence, if you Raid together a 512GB and a 120GB SSD, the smallest being 120GB, you'll only get a maximum capacity of 120GB times 2 = 240GB

you can clone the drives with software ya know `-`

 

but i generally install a fresh windows, fresh start

no junkware that accumulated over time
