Wow... That monitor is complete overkill; it costs more than your CPU and GPU combined... Swap it out for a cheaper one and get a 980ti instead of something, and definitely upgrade the PSU to a SeaSonic or a better EVGA.

monitor is a one time investment

have to agree on the psu though

1080p - R9 380 or 380X (they're very close in performance)

1440p - R9 390 or 390X though a Fury or Fury X would be fine too.

4K - R9 Radeon Pro Duo or R9 Fury X Crossfire (Not sure if there'll be much difference from the single card or the CF option) or Titan X.

Though at your budget, I'm guessing 1080p or 1440p.

I'm dumb, I though you weren't using PCPP and listing off some UK or EU only stuff.

Pro duo? And I would be aiming for 3440x1440

Yeah I caught that, edited my post.

£ is worth more than US$ by a fair margin so eh. It might be in your budget but the CPU would probably end up bottle necking the GPU to the moon and back quite a few times.

So any tips on a good build? Pc part picker links?

How often will you be editing and needing the CPU performance, and how important is it that it does those task faster.

Is that Broadwell-EP?

No skylake Xeon, and not too important, mainly gaming but I don't mind downgrading for better graphics

I guess I thought I saw "Xeon E5" then I looked up in the tab and it said E3, okay yeah.

If a few frames higher in some games mean anything to you, then the R9 Fury is the better option but if you're fine with slightly lower FPS then the R9 390X is fine (though you could technically go with the R9 390 if you were fine with turning settings down a little or just having even lower FPS...)

Well the thing is not all games support CF or SLI very well, so it's not advisable to do CF unless you're okay with some of the potential issues of doing CF.
