Need for Recommendations

Hello

Im planning on doing a "white build"

Should be good for gaming.

Not too expensive. (The 980ti is an exception :b)

I need your expert opinions and recommendations :oo Thanks already! :D

General critieria: mainly for gaming, white build, not too expensive.

CPU: Skylake i7 6700K

Motherboard: idk which one.. (skylake i7, good options also for the future, white would be nice, not too expensive)

Graphics Card: GTX 980Ti (which one should I pick?)

Case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe White: http://amzn.to/1WrK1dD

SSD: What do you recommend? (up to 500GB - or maybe even 1TB)

RAM: DDR4 but idk which ones? Any recommendations? Preferably white^^

PSU: Anything around 600Watt. What are your favourites?

Fans: Phanteks 140mm White LED Fan: http://amzn.to/1WrK2OI

CPU Fan: need recommendations. (something white and well cooling :D)

Acessories Phanteks 2M Multi-Color LED Strip: http://amzn.to/1WrK7Sy

Monitor: I have no idea. (Since this is a quite good build I thought it should be something that works well with my PC. Pleasant for gaming. Not too expensive. rather big (32inch or maybe even 40)

  • Any other general tipps?
  • What motherboard should I use?
  • What RAM?
  • What monitor?

Have a great day and thank you really much  :DDD

any z170 mobo would do, don't go too overboard on the looks. as for ram like 2sticks 8gbx2 of 2666mhz would do. Also a h440 looks very similar to this case(imo better) and costs less. Also as for fans check cougar vortex. monitor, if you wanna game fps go for a 144hz one.

Motherboard - Take a look at the ASUS Z170-A.

GPU - Gigabyte's XTREME series are on sale now for $599 - they're binned cards which will allow for better overclocking.

SSD - I recommend the Samsung 850 EVO.

CPU cooler - Phanteks PH-TC14PE - I believe it comes in white.

PSU - EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2/P2

It depends on the components and how important they are for me.

For example I dont want to buy a CPU for 1000 dollars because there is no way i can use it.

But for example the gtx 980ti which is an absolut killer card (also for 4k even) might be worth the money; and since it is probably the most important part for gaming.

I hope that explains what I mean haha

noctua fans come with a premium. The only way i see that mobo being useful is if you already got 3way sli 980ti's and you're looking for a white themed build with watercooling with a ridiculous budget.

I thought since I might use a xbox controller sofa gaming in fact might be an option i'd use some of the time^^ (that's why i mentioned it^^)

Dual M.2, the white theme (which the OP wants), great overclocker, even gaming performance is better than similar boards:

Why did you go for the i5 Skylake?

An i7 is overkill for gaming. If you want to spend extra, you can get the i7

Do you think the i5 will also still be great enough in like 3 years+?

No, you should actually be getting X99 as Direct X12 will want more cores, also these is a review somewhere showing DX12 performance with HT on and OFF
