I have a msi 970 oc and all of my games stay solid at 60 fps

Also, do you have a 60 Hz monitor? If you do, why is this a problem?

You probably have VSYNC enabled. Also if your monitor is only 60Hz you dont really need any more than 60 FPS. Also some games (Mass Effect 3 for example) have their own built-in frame rate limit. You can usually change this in a config file somewhere.

Even if your monitor is 60 Hz, your computer can run beyond 60 FPS -- unless you have something enabled, capping it at 60 FPS. Please check if V-Sync is enabled in your games or within the nVidia drivers.

 

I have a bunch of 60 Hz DELL Ultrasharp monitors, and I am getting 130+ FPS in my games (i.e. BF4).

Limit the FPS to 30 to avoid hurting your eyes or throw that pc away and get a Xbox one as it's slow enough to not hurt the eyes. msot games don't run 1080p due to the fact that 1080p is to sharp for your eyes.
