Decent gaming pc for €1000

Hello,

I'm new here so if I'm doing something wrong just tell me.

I would like to get myself a decent gaming pc with a budget of 900-1000 euro. I want to buy the parts separate because the prebuilds always have something I don't like. I won't be building it myself but let a store do it for me.

I had a bit of a look for parts, but I don't have a huge knowledge of this.

Intel Core i5-6600

Asus B150M-A motherboard

Crucial - DDR4 - 8GB - DIMM 288-PIN (would buy 2 of these)

EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB

I don't want a fancy case, just one who will do the trick. I think a have a 650 or 750 watt feedingstuff (sorry I'm Belgian and I don't know the name for this part :p). I don't need a keybourd or mouse. And I'll be using 2 monitors, 1 HDMI and 1 older one VGA (and/or DVI-I or D don't really know about this) but I think a have a VGA to HDMI adapter.

If I missed something just tell me.

Thank you :)

Will you need CUDA, or does power cost a butt ton where you live?

I think you're looking for Voedingseenheid > Power Supply Unit. So you already have a ~700W one and do not need a new one?

I think I have a good power supply unit, so if i could just keep that one that would save me a bit of money :)

CUDA is a GPGPU technology used by graphics cards with nVidia graphics processors. It allows programs other than games to harness the parallel processing power of the GPU. Since AMD GPUs do not support this technology, you'd be limited to nVidia GPUs if you need it.

In general, if you don't know what it is, you probably don't need it. And if you don't need it, people may suggest you pick a competing card from AMD instead of the GTX970.

Just as I was about to put together a built, @Starelementpoke beat me to it. Looks solid, though the PSU won't be required. Budget freed up from the PSU could be used to up the CPU back to an i5-6600, a higher-capacity SSD, a better case, a better graphics card, or more money in your pocket.

Eh, psu was more of a personal choice. At this price point, I like having at least 100+ Watts head room and it being at least semi. modular.

Switched the psu to something cheaper but will still work. Dropped the price a bit.

I have no qualms whatsoever about your recommended PSU, except the OP already has a PSU he's wanting to reuse :)

I don't know by heart. I bought it about 2-3 years ago I think. I will come back to you when I found out the name, later today. But I really would like to reuse it as I want to keep the budget as low as possible but still have a decent gaming pc. But if you guys would say I better buy a new one I would consider it.
