Is this a good config?

My friend recently asked me about this PC he is planning to build. I checked all the parts on PCPartPicker & no issues were found.

Are there any recomendations I could make?

Here is the link: http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/p/8PmtVn

NOTE: My friend has a maximum budget of 2000 NZD. (Converts to around 1300 USD / 1800 CAD)

Vroom, Vroom, Vroom!

I believe you should go with an older CPU (an older i5), but get one that it overclockable, that will be better.

Also, a 5400 rpm hard drive is going to be excruciatingly slow on a pc, go with a 7200 rpm.

I would also try to find a cheaper GTX 960, I see ones for like $200

The whole build just seems a little over the top to me. Bring your parts more down to Earth, nobody needs a sky lake CPU at the moment, and you should invest your money into other things like a better hard drive and maybe even as ssd.

No need for a cooler because the cpu is non overclock able.

It´s not bad. Given from what I can tell from NZD prices, it´s not bad. A little more time could produce better results, but not horrible overall.

Pretty good build.

FYI, I looked at most of the items on newegg NZ. (http://www.newegg.com/global/nz/).

BTW, one of the reviews said that you had to force an SSD into case & would result in scratching the SSD.

Dude, a TitanX is literally worthless, a 980Ti beats the crap out of for much less
