After this 

 

I needed something as fast but with 6GB of vram. So I managed to fit 4x 980ti EVGA on water into Phanteks Enthoo Primo. It scored 570 in Octane Bench the fastest score for  quad 980ti. Enjoy the gallery.

Is it really that bad? :) but being very seriuos- I used only once custom modded cables under 1500w usage for 24/7 works they just simply melt. This is for heavy work not for gaming. No more custom cables. This machine must work months without restarting under constant load when rendering animations.

This is an insane machine. Shouldn't have any problem with anything ever. Unless you upgrade to X80 Titans with 6100 CUDA cores each wen Pascal comes out. Great job, best cable management I've ever seen in my entire life.

That looks really good man!

 

I am running basicly the same setup, but just with titan x's instead of 980ti's

 

I do however have the issue of not having enough ports in my PSU for the 6 pin cable that goes into the motherboard on top of the GPU's, but from what I have read, I should be able to leave that one not plugged in without anything happening, as the cards should get plenty of power anyways. Can you perhaps confirm this by unplugging yours, and see if you notice any difference in the system?

 

Also, are those the 60 mm thick radiators? And what temperatures are you getting, at what fan speed with that setup?

The gpu cable shall be connected when using 4 gpus - this is for extra power for pcie. 

 

Temps are on 4 gpus 25C idle, 40C full load, 45 OC to 1500mhz. CPU 4ghz around 50C.

Yeah, I know that this is the general thought, but from what I can read, it is only if you are doing extreme overclocks (LN2 etc) so I just wanted confirmation that pulling it out did not matter the slightest, since many other motherboards that supports 4 way SLI do not have an extra 6 pin (Such as the Rampage V extreme, the MSI X99a godlike and the Z10PE)

 

In regards to the cables, I actually think you did some great cable management even though the fact that you are using stock cables.

Oh, I am sorry - yes it is working without the cable - even with 4 titan X (checked on my other workstation).  But for stability you may also use molex to pcie converter.

Great, did you check with the cards under load, or just booted it?

 

I honestly do not think stability will be an issue, as I will only be clocking the cards as much as afterburner allows me (280W I think)

Under full load but only for Octane Render - I am not gaming at all. So please keep in mind that Octane does not requires that much of gpu power usage. Usually much less.
