Z97-a bends a bit

So, earlier last Month i bought a z97-a from an online retailer.

I received the motherboard, but the motherboard was warped/bent on the pcb.

I returned it and got a motherboard back in the exact same shape as the other one.

I sent that back 2 days ago and got one in the exact shape once again!

Picture as proof.

Evaluate it yourself.

No, the retailer is the one retarded, they probably are storing or shipping it in a way that damages it in that way. Heck they may be even sending you the same board.

Asus will attempt to "repair" your product and send it back just call the and request an advanced rma (they send you a new mobo then you send your broken one back). I am doing this with my monitor I have been trying to get fixed for a month. I have spent 17 hours and 34 minutes on the phone with them according to my call log :( I hope this hhelps you.

They are. it's a policy with Asus to repair your product but if that is not possible then they will replace it.

I have an Anet A8 as my project printer and a i3 MK3 for when I want things to work.

I extrude my own filament and haven't saved a penny yet.

Well its clearly not repairable, so they should be sending new ones, but they aren't.

He meant that they show you a picture of it before they ship it to you.

I have no idea how are you supposed to fix a board bent this badly, you will probably break something a long the way.

I think that the retailer just send you back the same board as you sended back to them, might that be a possibility?

I would just ask for a refund and pick a diffrent board then.

If the board is in working order, they might just re-send you the same boards over and over again.

Because if its in perfect working order its not broke right?

I do have seen bended motherboards over time, but i have never seen them comming bended out of the box.

So thats kinda strange.

Still i would ask for a refund, and just order a more higherend board.

Who have more layers of pcb.

Ive asked them to give me a Deluxe for the price of an A model.

They told me that the batch of mobos they got could have been bad.

They will first try to order a new batch to see if that helps, if not, ill get a Deluxe instead.

It is not possible because they send a motherboard to me before i sent it back,  so I accually had 2 motherboards lying around before sending it back.

Both were bent.

Hmm thats realy odd.

I can imagin a slightly bended board, if you realy buy the cheapest piece of junk thats on the market.

But with the Z97-A i would basicly not expect it.

Of course its an entry level Z97 board, but thats not an excuse.

Maybe it was a bad batch, but i have not heard from that yet.

Sending you a Deluxe for the price of the A is basicly not reasonable.

I highly doubt that they will do that, without you paying the additional costs.

But if they want to that, then its a great service from your retailer.

Because i dont expect very much from Asus them selfs.

Well, someone has to take part in this. Ive been without a pc for two weeks because of bent motherboards. The good thing here in Denmark is a "Consumer Council" that handles this stuff.

I reached out to them, and in best case, the retailer can be forced to send me a Deluxe because of the fact that ive been without pc for over 2 weeks ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

March 10, 2016.

I sold my old motherboard (a Gigabyte one, a good motherboard)

I wanted to try something new, a friend of mine told me to try out ASUS, as in, why not?
I was very soon to find out.
I ordered a Z97-A from ASUS, and recieved 3 days later a motherboard, fantastic right?
The motherboard i recieved, was warped as it was mostly criminal, i was shocked. As soon as i could, i got the motherboard RMA'd, and another motherboard was sent to me as fast as possible.
I recieved a motherboard a week later, this time warped way more. (picture included, http://i.imgur.com/0MojJy0.jpg)
I got a little mad, only a little, called the internet shop for another replacement.
I waited another 3-4 days, recieved a motherboard. This time, the internet shop promised me to check for any motherboard damages before shipping, and i recieved a motherboard warped once again.
Now im frustrating. Out of alot of motherboards ive tried over the years doing tech, ive never experienced anything like this.
Neither the ASUS Denmark or ASUS Global is willing to take responibility in this case which made me make this thread.
A company, a manufacturer, a leading manufacturer of several electronics products, maybe thats just ASUS?
Judge it yourself (see the picture above) then tell me if im wrong or not.
