how much would you pay for the next Nvidia line right now?

Hogger

So, with Pascal coming out some time this year and Volta coming out in 2018, how much would you pay to have that technology right now. this instant?

OR, how much would you expect to pay for a mid to high range GPU when they release them?

For a piece of tech which would be unfinished, glitchy, presumably broken and would have no drivers available, I'd offer 5€. Just for teh lulz.

Do not feed.

Would anybody buy it for an extraordinary amount is the question.

1) nothing, I don't plan on buying a new gpu for at least another year

2) I'd expect the pricing to be aligned to current cards of the same tier, possibly 10-20% higher right after launch.

Not me, I never buy ultra expensive cards anyway - I don't see much point when I can get great performance for significantly cheaper by buying a card that is one or two tiers down, and in a couple of years it will be outdated anyway. I'd rather upgrade a little more often than spend twice as much on each card.

For the same reason buying a card 3-4 months before release wouldn't really be worth more money to my eyes. The only reason I can see for doing that is if you have no pc at all and need to build one asap, but don't want to buy a part that will be outdated in a couple of months - in which case spending 20-25% more than the card is worth may be justified.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Easily, it would be one of a kind so people would go insane for it.  Not only would it be a collectors item, the owner would literally have the one and only best graphics card(Assuming we're talking about the flagship).  Not to mention temporary bragging rights on a level that no one to this day has achieved.

That is if the card came with the drivers.

I'd pay £400 per card, preferably under £300, I.e no more than the actual price.

Otherwise my SLI 970s are still beastly.

Linus is my fetish.
