Should be the 5960x, since the single threaded performance would still be higher even at the much lower clock speed.  And the total performance would be massively better :)

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Somewhere in the substantial 20%-35% more. Unless the game you are playing does not require any type of CPU.

5800X3D - RTX 4070 - 2K @ 165Hz

A stock i5 2500K is better for gaming than an FX 9590, so yeah.....

Even at 4K an FX 9590 wouldn't be as good as a stock i5 2500K.

Do you use a candle to check for wind in a submarine? Because if you do then the AMD chip is better. If you don't 5960x is better by 200fps.

So what if it is?  Having a CPU that's even better isn't going to hurt if you're GPU-bound.

gta v

are you kidding?  That's actually quite CPU-heavy.  It would love a 5960x, especially if you can get it up to 4 or 4.5 GHz

It still relies on both the GPU and CPU.

Still why go with the 9590 FX anyway ? The thing is hella hot, garbage performance, requires a Liquid Cooler or a heavy large air cooler.

Intel demolishes absolutely everything that the FX can " Do" flat out. Except when to extreme budgets like 300$ then APU's are a better choice :P

That is the only game that I have that the 3570K holds back my GPU on. Even Planetside 2 is better. (GTA Online)
