Dyson sues Samsung

Dyson sues Samsung for copying it's vacuum steering design, and looks.

 

This is not the first time Dyson took Samsung to court. In 2009 Dyson sued Samsung for infringing on its super-powerful vacuuming mechanism, which Dyson won in court.

Samsung's phones and tablets aren't the only thing under attack for patent infringement. The BBC reports that vacuum maker Dyson has filed a suit accusing Samsung of using its patented vacuum steering system in its own Motion Sync vacuum cleaner, announced at IFA earlier this week. "This looks like a cynical rip-off," said company founder Sir James Dyson. "Samsung has many patent lawyers, so I find it hard not to believe that this is a deliberate or utterly reckless infringement of our patent."

I have no love for either of these companies, but I support samsung more than dyson. Dyson just makes cheap plastic trash and they overcharge for it, so if Samsung gives them competition then good.

I've got nothing against Dyson, I think they make bloody good products considering you could get some generic crappy 2 dollar thing that sucks and have it break. At least Dyson is sort of that brand name thing (inb4 Apple iSuck (inb4 joke about their products sucking))

Samsung can take a hit, why the hell they even need the vacuum cleaner market is beyond me, they have TVs, fridges, pc gear and tons of mobile stuff. Why tap into the tiny as hell market of vacuums? How often do you buy a vacuum anyways? Like maybe 3 times?

I guess you can call them the Apple off vacuums, and recently fans and hand dryers. Expensive, but works really well.

Call me crazy but I see a similarity but it's totally different, it doesn't even tilt it just swivels around in a circle.... Plus Dyson vacuums are the worst I have ever used.

That Samsung vacuum looks much like a Dyson. But no surprise there, no one can deny that Samsung does copy / use other companies' technology (except that rounded corners crap).

It actually looks really alike to the Dyson vacuum. If this is cheaper than the Dyson cleaner, I would hope that Samsung would win if it had the same power as Dyson vacuums.
