no this is a user submitted database based on submitted benchmarks results...it's 100% legit you can run the test on your machine and submit your own scores if you feel like it!

The i7 has 6 cores plus hyper threading.

Honestly, this forum is one of the fucking worst to make a AMD vs. Intel thread. It almost always ends in warning points.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

even more relevant is the vastly superior single-threaded performance due to a much higher IPC (instructions per clock) and a greatly superior CPU architecture based on years of research and development giving it much greater throughput per clock cycle and much better energy efficiency as well.

Also the intel X99 platform is greatly superior to AMD's old outdated AM3+ socket which does not even support PCIexpress 3.0 namely.

In terms of multithreaded performance you need more than two and a half of FX-6300s to match the 5820k. Single-threaded it's like 60% faster too.

So I just bought 2 6300's and found a really good deal on the last half of a CPU on craigslist, but it's half of a 6350. Are they compatible?

Also, which goes where? I stuck the 2 full ones in PCIe slots  to crossfire them, but I'm afraid that I haven't got enough lanes and they might run in 8x/8x (the half CPU will be in the CPU socket). How much will this hurt performance if they're in 8x/8x?  Still, saving money!

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.

Wait, how do you get half of a cpu?

put them in raid 0 for best results, also CPU-z will report 6.5ghz clockspeed on each do not worry it's NORMAL (i'm asked about this ALL THE TIME...)
