Guy's I've bought my new graphics card a budget build only. GTX 950 and I have GTX 460 with the same brand name is PALIT. So would I do the SLI thing or just buy he same GTX 950 to make it SLI???

Nope. Two different architectures.

You shouldn't be SLI'ing 950s anyway. Just grab a better GPU.

I think the 950 is a pretty capable 1080p card, and has great value. Not everyone can throw down $300 to $500 for a graphics card, so it isn't very helpful to suggest that one must NEVER buy a more budget-oriented video card.

As others have said, you can only SLI a 950 with a 950, a 960 with a 960, etc.

I really don't think adding another GPU is worth it. Better put that money into your savings account and save another year or two to buy a higher tier one. The 950 is a pretty decent card, you can play all games on at least medium settings on 1080p.

No.

I run a 960 SLI. It's not worth it at all if you can get the 970. I only went the SLI route because the offers I got for selling my 960 was more than half the retail value especially since I only used it for 3 months.

A question. I know a single gpu is a better choice but why say you shouldn't SLI 950's? I SLI EVGA GTX 950 FTWs with no issues or gaming problems. I get a 90-99% scaling on all SLI enabled games and the none SLI games I play aren't effected either. SLI is a better choice for dual TOP end cards like the 980 TI's but not everyone can through out that 800$ for the awesome looks and the awesome scaling of both them awesome cards. Everyone hates on SLI and this my first ever build with SLI. Always wanted to try it but I waited awhile before I did because of the issues that were presented when it was first introduced. SLI 2 low end cards for a budget gamer is a decent decision IMO. It looks good, I get the performance of a top end 970 at a lesser cost. Not saying this would be the case in all SLI situations but it is in my case and I enjoy the looks and performance of my cards. :D This is just my opinion from my experience thus far.

SLI presents many issues, and people tend to avoid them by grabbing a better single card.

These issues include microstuttering and games not utilising (if at all) SLI/Crossfire well, effectively giving you the performance of only one 950.

And considering the 950 only has 2GB of VRAM, I'd say you're better off with a single GPU that has at least 4GB.

I do not disagree. I don't recommend it unless you just want it and a single better graphics card, with more ram since with SLI or crossfire 2+2 does not equal 4 it equals 2, is better when it comes to the games that don't utilize/support it or just all together. I cannot make an argument with that at all and don't plan to try. As far as the micro stuttering, I do not have that issue. From my understanding it happens when you are below 30 frames. Well if you are getting below 30 frames with SLI you should just give up and retire what ever cards you are using all together and as Linus pointed out in the video "Some people are more or less susceptible to but Nvidia has that mostly taken care of compared to the competition". Talking about micro stuttering.  90% of the games I play supported SLI before I even considered it. I'm into the looks and feel of my system as much as I am into the Performance of it. Well what performance I can get with the money I allocate towards my builds and 2 gpu's sitting there in my system looking all bad ass and shit is awesome to me. I'm sure others wont disagree with that.

Also think of this. You getting 40 - 50 frames average with a single card and you decide "Hey I cannot afford a 300-400$ GPU right now. I wander if I SLI will that give me a decent boost?". Well yes and no. If the game supports it well enough you can gain a good 20-25 frames boost which is about a 50-60% boost in FPS. If anyone does run SLI you will rarely see a full 100% boost or double frame rate but it can really seem that way. Just an example if you already own a 950 and cannot afford a 4gb 300-400$.

On a closing note, I'm not on a SLI band wagon because I got 2 "low end" cards from the 900 series but they are the best 950's on the market. SLI is more suited towards high end cards, which I stated in an earlier post. 2 980 TI's hell yes or just 2 980's but still SLI is a thing for those who just want it. It can give a great boost in performance to any system if done right and just gives that extra bad ass look.

This is just my 2 cents on the matter. I enjoy my dual 950's. I do not regret buying them. I have no issues out of the cards, even when I do play a game that does not support SLI. The EVGA GTX 950 FTW edition all together is, IMO, the best budget card out there. Next to the 960 at 200 bucks which is more of a mid range card or the budget AMD 300 series cards.  Like I said Just my 2 cents.
