TS servers require literally n0thing (@Cloud9) to run, I have mine running on a VPS with 256MB RAM haha.. keep in mind that TS requires a licence for more than 32 people - however you can register a non-for-profit licence for free that allows 512 users.

were is a good place to find "cheap" 10GbE switches. I am building a server soon that has 2 1GbE and 2 10GbE, and would like to be able to use the 10GbE if possible.

Do those quanta switches have a web interface?

 

This is the MOBO from the sever I am going to build, what SFP+ moduals would I need to interface with the 2 10GbE ports on that MOBO

Seems like it, yes I don't have one, as the only one I have ever bought I gave straight to a friend that wanted/needed it more than me

 

But I think CLI is the way to go with that one.

 

 

By the way the reason I haven't done any updates is because we are moving at work, so I have to work this weekend at it's a shitload to do atm

Sry for a age old reply, but I got the Dell R510 for 200$ including the whole rack and UPS etc...

 

The other one I got for 250$

Added some stuff, got a new server with 2x E5 2620 v2, 32GB of RAM and 36 3.5" slots
