NH-D15 temps?

Eeglis

Post your CPU and temps from your NH-D15 here.

I'm kind of concerned about mine, are they ok? 45C idle, non overclocked i7-4790k.
As a case I have Silencio 550

no idea what to put here

45c idle? Thats bad. I run about 20-25 idle with an 4790k overclocked to 4,8GHz and 65 during full load.

Yeah, I'm wondering a bit as well. What RPM you run at idle?

Idle temps don't really matter, what're your load temps?

70c at their worst. In most of the games I get around 50-63

Those temps are bad. I don't own one.

But remove the CPU cooler and clean the thermal paste from the CPU and the cooler with atleast 99% Isopropyl Alcohol.

And the apply new thermal paste and read the instructions carefully, then mount it properly.

Not sure, it's at 40% in the bios. So around 400-500 RPM. I have both fans installed, do you have one or two?

It's mounted properly. Maybe I got some old thermal paste on since I didn't use Isopropyl Alcohol to clean the CPU with.

High idle temps mean either high ambient temps, poor cable management or shitty airflow. Those load temps are fine.

Cable management don't affect temps.

I have both installed. Spinning idle at around 250-350RPM idle.

Not sure what the problem is.

But again try what I said.

Did you use papper towels? Could have left some bits of papper on the CPU.

Well my room ambient gets up to 26c sometimes. Cable management isn't the best, but it's extremely avreage I'd say.

Haven't watched yet, but it would make sense that a huge mess of cables would affect airflow.

It would make sense, but nope. It dosen't affect temps.

I built a pc for my friend that uses the NH-D15. He has his air conditioner set to 18c and the cpu temps are 30c on idle. Although its not accurate as his air conditioner is broken.
