PSU Selection Advice

Go to solution Solved by Dzzope,

$80 over but a MUCH better build..

Get windows here: or on another cd key site, don't pay full retail when there are legal legit ways to get it cheaper.

Do a bit of research to find valid sellers tho.. this one seems legit..

Hello, all!

I've been told by a good handful of forum members that the power supply unit in the PCPartsPicker list linked below is a horrid choice.  It would be great if anyone could point me in the direction of a better, sturdier choice that fits the parts of my build.

Thanks a lot!  Any other notes on the build would be appreciated as well.

750W is probably actually excessive for that build.  Pick anything pretty much from here or here

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Great PSU worth the extra spend.. otherwise look for EVGA B2 psu's.

Yeah, not a great PSU. Has enough wattage for 3 980s though!

I'd suggest looking at the PSU whitelist in my sig. If you plan to throw in another card and overclock down the road then 750W is a good amount to have. I'd suggest an EVGA B2 750W currently as it's really cheap ATM
