Could an my rig run this monitor?

To be quick, could my the rig i'm planning run this monitor on med/high settings on demanding games? And the GPU would be overclocked to 1.3/1.35 ish

I'd be shocked if you couldn't run it medium-high with a 980 Ti. But then again I don't own a 980 so I can't say for sure. What res are you using now?

I'm just on a crappy laptop right now, with a plain 1080p display.

An UW at 1440p vs a 980ti.

 

I think you are good with the proposed build. Could have sworn the lg 34um95 is closer to the 780 to 850 mark now, so the 'suggested price' is a tad outdated.

 

What I would like to make note of is that the UW form factor is a great work panel with the amount of real estate and multi tasking options; however, it may not  be supported or work perfectly with all games you are looking into. So I would suggest that you consider first if you are only getting this monitor for gaming, or for other aspects.

I run for example Shadow of Mordor on High/Ultra(GE Optimized) settings with 4790K, 1x980ti(sig)  @ 75-80fps on a X34

 

So i think you will be just fine
