yes but this is just a tonga chip and for the price this card is the best you can get.

it's nothing fancy and will not beat any overclocking records, but it's a solid mid-range card that will perform very well for the price.

probably best to ignore dons comments on gigabyte cards which he bases of newegg reviews

well...gigabyte has never been brilliant when it comes to GPU's to be brutally honest...but sometimes they come in as being quite a bit cheaper than the others.

The windforce cooler is nothing spectacular but it gets the job done and for the price they are nice cards.

I would try to aoivd them for higher end budget, for a bloody hot R9 390/390X for example i would avoid gigabyte i would tend to recommend spending an extra 20 or 30$ for an MSI or a sapphire card since you're already spending close to 400$ for it anyways...but for a 200$ budget card i have no problem with a gigabyte card, and the 380X happen to be a very solid deal ATM.

they are pretty loud though...the MSI gaming or EVGA classified are better cards across the board, hands down.

Quick question again. What is the performance difference of a R9 380 and an R9 380X? Because I could get an 380 from XFX for $170 instead of Giabytes 380X for $220. They are both 4GB but the XFX card has a clock speed of 990 MHz while the Gigabyte on has 980 MHz

These are the cards:

If that's the price of a 380, get it instead. A 380X is not worth that price difference.
