Best triple monitor stand?

Bluethulhu

I just got 2 XL2420Ts so use in surround with my XL2420TX that I already owned for a few months. The stand on one of them is absolute garbage, it always tilts a couple degrees to the right and it doesn't look right at all. I looked on Amazon and I found a couple but they were around $300. Is there a relatively cheap solution that won't snap? Keep in mind these monitors are a tad heavier than average 24" panels I have used.

@Bluethulhu

The only one that would look good enough for that monitor would have to be the XFX triple monitor stand i think it was made for 24" too i think^^

Is there anything cheaper, or is that my only option? $375 seems a little over the top, considering the 2 monitors together are just $100 shy of that. I am also considering building it myself with some metal pipes and standard mounts. Is that another way to go or is that a bad idea?

To be honest, you have over $1000 in screens so i wouldn't really go for anything that is capable of holding your screens up without any cheap-o feel to it.

This one doesn't look that bad tho: http://www.amazon.com/DoubleSight-DS-224STA-Doublesight-Monitor-Stand/dp/B0026MRTN6/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1378538262&sr=8-11&keywords=Triple+Monitor+stand

Just check around on Amazon to see what you find and what you like :http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Triple%20Monitor%20stand

The XFX trrple monitor stand is manufacured by Ergotech. Ergotech makes their own Ergotech Triple monitor stand that is the same as the XFX version but has a deffrent Base. The Ergotech stand is $217.96 at Amazon vs the brand name of the XFX for $375.

They don't "look" the same, it has a lot to say (at least for me)^^

The arms and mounts are all made by Ergotech, so if you feel that the XFX stand is worth $162 more because of it's name and the base, then more power to you bro :)

Haha, to be honest if i was ever gonna get 3 monitors i'd just use the original stand :) I have enough room so why not?

I'm just saying that the XFX stand looks way nicer than 99% of the other triple monitor stands^^

I do agree, that looks wise yes, the XFX base does look 99% better :) it is also is bulkier, which means more desk space :(. Ergotech makes a thing called the Ice cube, it attaches to the vertical base bar which adds 4 power plug-ins and 2 USB ports but no headphone jacks or mic. when the mothtors ar mounted you can not see the Ice cube.

I bought 2x singles for $50 each and a double vertical for $60 just over $160 AUD.

Do you have any links to what you have? I'm in the US so it might be a little cheaper for me as well. I'm thinking either this or the Ergotech.

I used 2x Brateck LCDT6-BK: http://www.megabuy.com.au/brateck-lcd-t6-lcd-monitor-table-stand-warm-desk-clamp-black-vesa-75100mm-15kg-p216484.html

I'm sure any single monitor mounts would work just fine as long as they could handle the weight and had enough freedom for you to position it into place

I've owned and used a "Ergotech Triple Horizontal LCD Monitor Arm Desk Stand (100-D16-B03)" with 3x 23.6" ASUS VS247h-p's and it got the job done. It wasn't really ideal for me personally, but this held all 3x without any issues for as long as I owned all of them. I never got around to getting the monitors perfectly aligned or sat flush. I'm sure it is very possible, but my patience ran out quickly in the space I was using.

Total usage was 14 months. My Ergotech is currently sitting around and I've pondered where to list and sell it... the weight is not ideal for ebay. I've also sold all 3 monitors since then. I much prefer single GPU, single monitor after all that wasted money.

Not sure the weight difference between the BenQ's OP mentioned and the Asus ones I was using, but it states "Weight Capacity: 25lbs per pivot" right on the product page.

Hope any of my input helps you in your decision.

Check out http://www.tykesupply.com/ they by far have the cheapest I have seen. They are great quality, my only complaint on my triple from them is I wish the curve was more they are almost flat across even on the curved arm. I removed the center knuckle to push mine back some more and put a plate behind the sides to push them out further.

Okay, all the monitor stands here are great,

but if you are in the UK these are on an amazing offer on amazon

Yes, there is a triple version but its not made for 3 24" monitors in surround (you have to set them up in a triangle)

But for £50 you can get £200 worth of stand.
