Is Windows 10 good now?

Schok0lade

How / Has Windows 10 improved since the official final release date? Is it worth upgrading or doing a clean install now? Also, will I have higher FPS in games if I upgrade to Windows 10 and will my system be faster compared to Windows 8.1?

Yes it is. The system is overall stable but it might depend on your exact specs, it just may don't like your components.. But If you do a clean install, you should not worry too much.

I need S340. But more Define S'ish

You make it sound like it was bad. Which it wasn't.

Most of the people saying otherwise are just paranoid that the FBI would probably accuse them of masturbating to the wrong type of porn.

Windows 10 is - frankly - the best version of Windows yet, combining the straight-up functionality of Windows 7, and the features of Windows 8.1, topped off with DirectX 12 and other goodies.

And this isn't shill talk here; I genuinely feel this way. It is really that good. It boots up exceptionally quickly thanks to a smaller footprint compared to Windows 7, compatibility is straight up better than either 7 or 8.1, and Edge - whilst I don't use it - is a MASSIVE improvement from Internet Explorer.

I've been using it on both my desktop and laptop since its launch and have encounted so few issues it's surprising.

That is a very interesting selection of components.  I simply must know the story behind that build, if you wouldn't mind :)

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

- I chose a Z97 1150 socket board because I will soon upgrade CPU to an i7 OC-able piece. Why didn't I just wait patiently for it? Because I hate patience an I just went for a cheap i5 until I get my i7 K cpu.

- I chose SAMSUNG PRO SSD 256GB because its one of the fastest sata SSD out there I think and aint had problems since the day I bought it which was like 3 months ago and I've been actively writing/reading on it. I use it as primary boot drive.

- I chose a SEAGATE SSHD 1TB because I had a spare one in my drawer. I bought it to test it long ago but it works quite well now so I use it. I have Windows 7 on it. Why? Because I love Windows 7.

- I bought a WD Black 2TB HDD to compare the speed between  the SSHD and a performance-HDD. The SSHD is a bit faster. Not significantly tho then I deleted OS from it and it serves as a storage device.

- I had a HyperX Fury 240GB SSD in my previous low-end old PC and I didn't want to sell it so I kept it.

- PSU: I had that CX430 PSU in my previous pc that I had upgraded before. And until I buy a new graphics card and CPU its great.

- GPU: I had it in my previous PC that I had been upgrading and now I didnt have money for a new one so its sitting inside the mobo.

- RAM: I ordered 16GB a brand-new ram kit online but somehow I was given 32GB, lol.

MOBO: BECAUSE THIS MOBO IS LOVE, THIS MOBO IS LIFE. I caress that mobo, I kiss it, I hump it, no joke. I love it. Best mobo ever made, go away if you think otherwise! (jk)

(I already mentioned the motherboard I'm just tired sorry)

:D
