{Rebuild log} hard-line at last! Thermaltake v41 *pictures fixed

0ld_Chicken

So I finally got around to hardlining my build (in process anyways). I've been wanting to do so since before my first AIO but I couldn't really afford it and I needed to get some watercooling experience under my belt.
The PC's hardware will remain the same as before with upgraded ram (1600MHz to 2400MHz thanks LTT classifieds!)

Case: Thermaltake V41
CPU: i7-4790k
GPU: Gtx 980
RAM: 2x8gb Gskill Ripjaws x 2400
MOBO: EVGA Z97 classified
PSU: Antec HCG-750M

Most watercooling parts will be reused with the exception being the XSPC twin d5 pump/bay res being replaced with an EK D5 pump res.

XSPC AX 240 (cougar vf-12hpb fans)
XSPC RX 280 (noctua nf-p14s redux)
EK Supremacy's MX cpu block
Aquacomputer kryographics gtx 980 block
EK D5 pwm xres 140
XSPC hard-line fittings 14mm OD
XSPC and Bitspower 14mm PETG tubing

I ordered 2-90° G 1/4 revolvable fittings but decided I didn't need to use them so every run goes to and from a standard hard-line fitting.

This is where I left out last night. Leak testing (none overnight, wooo)
And got my gpu cable extensions in, going to look at making some cable combs since I don't like how my crappy thread job went.

I still need to change out the noctua on the bottom, I wont be looking at that haha.
I used 3.5 metres of tubing, I ordered 4 originally and then 8 more just in case haha. Looks like I'll have plenty next time
That is all for now. Going to try and get most things finished up tonight, but I need to wait for my shutoff cable before I refill with aurora, if I can wait that long haha might just plug it.

Let me know what you think!  I'll post more pictures as I get everything situated and going

Firstly, all the pictures are the same, secondly, i would have put the radiator below the reservoir. All i see is soft tube and what looks like one long PETG tube in the back.

The best 40$ I ever spent was on a dead 270x, which I fixed in a day

want an Asus z97-a that won't post? Asus said they found scratches that voids the warranty so they're sending it back. I've got pictures of the damage, if you are interested PM me

A little preview shot of the finished build.  I'm quite happy with it!

I did have problems with some weeping from the fitting on the top side of the GPU when water temps got to about 30°c.    I tried re-seating it, using a different fitting (I bought extra) and ended up just cranking down on the fitting a bit harder than I normally do and so far it is good.  Since I'm paranoid, that fitting currently has a bit of paper towel tied around it, which I I take off regularly and check for any obvious blue dye from the aurora.

Once I get everything back in place (currently in the kitchen) then I'll take some proper pictures with something better than my bottom-of-the-line phone lol
