Youtube video uploads look pixelated

i have been trying to create youtube content recently and all my videos with demanding graphics look pixelated as seen in this video

i use xsplit to record  and sony vegas to edit 

 

help me fix the videos\

Probably how you are encoding it. What do you use?

i have been trying to create youtube content recently and all my videos with demanding graphics look pixelated as seen in this video

i use xsplit to record  and sony vegas to edit 

 

help me fix the videos\

 

YouTube takes a while to process your video. If you view it right after upload, it will be bad quality as YouTube is still processing it.

It can take a couple of minutes to do.

pixelation in xsplit is usually related to your cpu not having enough crunching power to get it in the required bitrate on the fly.

 

since you're doing youtube and not livestreaming i suggest recording at a higher bitrate (twitch streaming = 3.5Mbps max) like 10-20 Mbps, and let sony vegas compress it to a decent size after editing, since that doesnt need to happen on the fly.

Xplit isn't the best for recording. Its (as well as any live streaming software) VBR implementation isn't the best and causes that pixelation in higher motion. I'd recommend going with Dxtory for recording when not live streaming. Though it could still be an issue with the final render. I used to have that issue even when recording with dxtory. It was caused from simply using VBR at a reasonably moderate bit rate. You can choose things like this before the final render in a template. I personally fixed the issue by going with a high bit rate CBR (50mbps), but I can imagine that a VBR implementation can probably still fix the issue if its bit rate values are high enough.

For 1080p 60FPS i suggest you use at least 25000 bit rate, then in editor encode it out as close to source as possible, then use Handbrake with a 2 pass encode and average bitrate of 10000.

If you have an AMD GPU, you can use the AMD Gaming Evolved software that has configurable bitrate. Also it's not very FPS intensive when recording.

its not the settings in xsplit, those are fine. your problem is when you export your video in sony vegas. change your target output bitrate to about 12-15 h.264 and you should be fine
